THE BEST BREEDS OF DOG
__________
There are two main groups of strong dogs: Short-coated and long-coated (long-haired) Molossers. And every of these two groups has some advantages and some weaker sides.
Generally, short-haired Molossers mostly have a better socialization but there is no rule. They will not stand colds as good as
long-haired Molossers, of course, which are wilder and (in some respects only) not so easily socialized (but it can sometimes be vice versa too).
Some will say that large short-coated Mastiffs are the best. But do they stand cold weather, do they walk tens of miles with a minimal tiredness only? Can they live on a small amount of food, can they be that rapid? Can they destroy the intruders that quickly?
Nevertheless, whether it deals with a long- or a short-coated Molosser, it can be a very good defender, fighter and companion in one. Also the crosses of the two groups of large Molossers can excell. However, the most important thing is to get the proper relation between you and your dog. It does not matter too much what breed of dog it is about. However, if you would ask which of them is able to destroy a human enemy in the quickest possible way (the biting of the face, throat and as efficient a re-biting as possible), then I would go with big wolfdogs. There are places, environments, where a Caucasian-type of dog is the best partner of it's owner, and there are other where
a Boerboel-type of dog will be the best one for you.
So let's take a look at these two main groups.
