LONG-COATED MOLOSSERS
__________
Studying the merits of this group of the strongest dogs - large long-coated Molossers - wolfdogs, we can simply ask which breeds of dog are both good fighters and defenders, which are the least degenerated of all, resistant against colds and both movable and strong.
The answer is at hand: large long-coated wolfdogs! Quick as the wolf and strong as the Mastiff. Ideal guardians, but they often need to see a strong personality in their owner to be free from some need to dominate. If you are really strong, you can handle such a dog and then it will splendidly protect you.
When defending their owners, these dogs are able to kill almost any human. They are most aggressive on the premises which they guard and generally in the night, but when trained to that purpose they can also defend "in the white day" in almost any environment.
The best examples of large long-coated Molossers - wolfdogs - are Akbash, Caucasian Ovtcharka, Central Asian Ovtcharka and Kangal (and similar relative breeds like Anatolian Shepherd, Kuvacz, Tibetan Mastiff, Turkish Mastiff and others).
Akbash (a white giant with unbelievable power):

Caucasian Ovtcharka (Caucasian Shepherd, Caucasian Volkodav, Caucasian Wolfdog), the king of all dogs:

Central Asian Ovtcharka (Middle Asian Ovtcharka), ideally medium to long coated with high effectiveness both in defense and in fighting:

Kangal (famous champion Boz owned by Akin):

Tibetan Mastiff (on average a little weaker than the above-mentioned breeds but still very strong):

Why I have switched to the Ovcharka-type of dogs:
I used to have several breeds of dog. I have experienced with them a lot of real situations. My Caucasian was very dominant, he was best at the premises' guarding and in defense at lonely places. On the contrary, the best of my Rottweilers was aggressive everywhere and excellent defender in any environment. I have noticed that short-coated Molossers (now I don't speak about the Rottweilers only) seem to have better endowments for a mutual life with people living in modern cities and overall everywhere, where is a larger number of people who live one next the other. I believe that short-coated Molossers are more easily "dealt-with" by all the members of a family.
However, such an Ovcharka, it is a better protector when strangers will enter your home to hurt you. Ovcharka, it also means a good and natural life-style: a house on the village, some Nature around, a lot of movement on fresh air in a natural environment (field, forest). It is also able to stand colds, to walk tens of miles without any greater tiredness, to be both very strong and very quick at once (the rapidness of a Wolf + the strength of a Mastiff).
When I saw what my Caucasian was capable of, I was afraid of having of such a killer and considered a better choice to have some more reasonable breeds of dog like Fila Brasileiro, Rottweiler or Bull Mastiff. But in the moments when I was allowed to see the truth itself, my spirit had only desired for the one, who could be able to save me, for the one, who was able to bring down a human within one second. I realized, why the people who live at lonely places in the wilderness need only the dogs, who can mercilessly paralize the enemy by the most effective and quickest way.
There are many very good breeds of dog, but considering the voice of my heart, my experiences and my life-style, I am preferring the Ovcharka-type of dogs to all the other.
Caucasian Ovcharka:
It has two main kinds: CV (shorter-coated north Caucasian Volkodav) and CO (trans-caucasian Caucasian Ovcharka), but one famous Russian expert said to me this:
"Русского волкодава нет. Есть отечественный волкодав, включающий в себя крови лучших собак регионов России и в том числе казахских, молдавских, украинских и туркменских собак. Отечественный волкодав ВОЗРОЖДЕН в результате отсеивания плохих и выбора лучших собак заядлыми волкодавщиками к коим вы видимо и принадлежите."
Freely translated it is roughly the following: "There is a native Volkodav having in himself a blood of dogs from the region of Russia and so also Caucasian, Moldavic, Ukrainian and Turkmenian dogs. Native Volkodav is born as a result of removing of the bad and a selection of the best dogs by experienced volkodav dogmen among which you obviously belong."
