Ten Commandments, Baptism And Sabbath Day
Maybe it is possible to say that those who try to observe the Ten Commandments, get baptised and remember the Sabbath day have a better chance to reach the Salvation than those who ignore it - nothing more nothing less.
There are even such people who break the Commandments, are not baptised and do not remember the Sabbath day (Saturday or Sunday) and yet they end up in the God’s Kingdom. And there are people who observe the Commandments, get baptised and remember the Sabbath day – and they will not get into the Kingdom of God.
As for the Ten Commandments, it is impossible to observe them in the strict meaning of the expression – for example the statement of Jesus Christ (even if not taken from the Commandments directly): „You shall love your neighbor as yourself“, which nobody observes, as everybody who finds himself even if for only a short time only in a state of peace or even mirth, reconciles with the evil that happens to other people in the world – it is his neighbors, and thus he is ruthless to them and nearly does not love them at all at that moment, so he cannot love them like he loves himself.
As an example of breaking of the God’s Commandments we can consider the eighth Commandment, for example. This only Commandment could smash almost all the books of the world, and almost all people’s illusions about their usefulness and the good they do.
The secret of this Commandment runs as follows: everybody who is very well off = he experiences more subjectively positive feelings than most of other people do, he steals from them. Through the excess of his own happiness, he is the cause of their excessive unhappiness, which makes him be a real thief. And who is not one? Only those who are not well off! And those who are badly in life – and owing to them other people are happy, they are even the generous donors and guardians of others.
Baptism is useful, but not necessary. Have Jesus Christ in your heart, and this is the best baptism – when his spirit as well as the spirits of those who sent him join you. If you are baptised by a man who does not understand who Jesus and his Father are, the baptism can have a smaller power and smaller effect than when Jesus lives in your heart and you know who he really is, and who is the one who created him and sent him to this world. And to remember the Sabbath day is not necessary as well, but it can be useful.
He who is not elected to noble tasks - who is the so-called “ordinary believer”, he should try to observe the Ten Commandments, get baptised and remember the Sabbath day. But he who is chosen to great tasks that should move the world, he can be forgiven the transcendence of some of the God’s Commandments.
